Remakes are like Russian Roulette. Sometimes you appreciate them and other times they seem derivative and bland whilst preventing "new ideas" from flourishing. I prefer the original Pet Cemetery movie myself.

Regardless I like the "bloody wendigo marking" in the soil,it's a nice touch along with the scattered bones and such! The resurrected son and resurrected cat are befittingly "creepy" to boot.

Sure,definitely some HR Giger similarities but I like the dog skull head and the arms and hand positions remind me of that old expressionist painting where a person is looking at us,hands on both sides of his head and he seems to be screaming. (Edvard Munch) Nice background tiles too. This must've been a grind but in a good way!
