Looks like a neat cross between Krampus and the Wendigo. lol. I understand your feelings about Christmas,or more in my case winter in general. Being I celebrate my birthday DEC 22nd "winter" ushers forth me being one year older and I have some depressing memories tied to grey skies and snow. I think it's a hard time for everyone and Christmas is there to keep us in higher spirits during the coldest and harshest time of the year. (Not that it is always successful in accomplishing that.)

Armorwing responds:

I'm sorry it's not such a great time for you. For me, I meant that I just don't vibe so much with the general feeling of the season. Being a person more into monsters, fantasy, horror and such, I kinda feel like the opposite. Like my wendigo, it's only accents around the general picture.

I thought this was just a fun piece, but I find it interesting you had such a reaction to it. I appreciate you sharing it!

It's a great design. I think a Victorian era Batman would be interesting if they did it correctly. They "attempted it" with an animated one shot but it really butchered some of the characters. (Poison Ivy was reduced to a whore then immediately killed and they made Gordon the surprise bad guy.) Too "try hard edgy" is how I'd judge the production. But "this" is gewd!

Jellajam responds:

The movie you're referring to is Gotham by Gaslight, which is based on a comic of the same name. It has fantastic art by Mike Mignola, check it out. The movie changed a significant amount of the plot and added several characters, so it's quite different. The art alone is worth it.

Welp,at least Death is a softie. lol. "Don't talk to me or my sons ever again, normiez!"

Ruedefaux responds:

HAHA something like that!

Ah,the good ol days where mosh pits and raves actually happened!

Ruedefaux responds:

raves still happen!
i go to them once in a while

I was about to say the black shiny leather reminded me of Edward Scissorhands and the cenobites from Hell-Raiser. lol. Still, not a bad take and it offers something a bit new whilst the character still remains immediately identifiable.

Jellajam responds:

Thanks! That was definitely my goal. I love all the Elseworlds-type designs out there, but I enjoy designing a new take on the "main" version a lot more. I wanted to stay true to who the character is, just give him an updated look that could conceivably be used in the comics if DC were to somehow hire me by accident :D

I dig the varying themes you have with the eyes of each chibi!

Spiderberry responds:

Thanks!

Like the over-armor.......actually looks useful like a vestment used by real life SWAT teams.

Jellajam responds:
